3. slaver Of Stepney Director Royal Assurance Shubrick Richard-990 (Richard or Thomas Snr , Progenitor ) was born about 1709. He died in 1786 in London.

This man of Barge Yard, a director of Royal Assurance Co, there were also Thomas and Richard Shubrick in Africa trade and in 1755 they put 220 slaves to South Carolina. See Kellock, article, p. 145. Had a partner named Clemson of 19 Birchin Lane, Cornhill, near Carolina Coffee House. He and brother both lived awhile in America,Thomas stayed but Richard returned to England in 1746. Item on www.archive.org/stream on James Irving of Ironshore and his descendants 1713-1918. Agric and timber, slave and fur trades. He at one time owned four ships and co-owned eight others. Sea captain in Carolina trade, with John Nickelson and firm Nickelson, Shubrick and Co. In the 1750s he and brother had firm with Daniel Crawford, Shubrick and Co. See Kellock, article, p. 145.
