2. London merchant Flower John-46181 (Progenitor ) was christened in 1810 in active.

ux47 for more See links to lines of owners of Blackwall Yard. Maybe find them in IGI? His family originates in Norfolk. Metcalf on Battsersea development, pp. 27ff. He is but a small London merchant. See Daunton's article, p. 136.

John married Wickham Martha-46182 daughter of Wickham Progenitor-374097 and WNotknown Miss-374098.

They had the following children:

+ 3 M i Of Surrey, Australia trade Flower Philip William-46166 was born in 1810. He died in Feb 1872.
  4 M ii Australia trade Flower Horace-47930 was born in 1818/1819. He died in 1899.

Code-Aust. His own entry in ADB online. Code-red. See his own ADB entry. He remained in Aust. He went to PJ in 1838 with his brother P. W. and was part of the firm Flower, Salting and Co. See pp. 27ff, pp. 38ff, Metcalf on development of Battersea. See Broeze article on Imperial Axis. Metalf p. 52. Note 7, this man went backrupt in 1862, its largest creditors being Flower and Salting and the Bank of Australasia. Situation mended by 1866. His trouble slowed the development of Battersea, however.
        Horace married Kirk Amelia Kirby or Kirk-374096 daughter of Kirk Progenitor-412883 and KNotknown Miss-412884.

She had 12 children.
  5 M iii Flower John Wickham-50900 was born in 1807 in Surrey. He died in 1873.
