Philp Dumaresq died 1741 was a Jerseyman, became a privateer, he emigrated to Boston where he married Susanne Ferry in 1716, in 1739 during war of Austrian succession he commands a privateer, Young Eagle. Michael Dumaresq his second Lt and Wm Dumaresq amongst crew. He is such success as privateer the Spanish wanted him specifically. Does he as Bob Cummins says have children by an Aboriginal woman?

Eliza married Sir, Gov NSW, anti-slaver Darling Ralph-14146 son of Adj 45th Regt,spouse problem Darling Christopher-38239 and DNotknown Ann-55435. Ralph was born in 1775. He died in 1858.

He tried to end the traffic in slaves and incurred planter wrath. He is uncle of his asst private sec, Charles Darling. He had one son and several drs. His own ADB entry.
