Born at house of his grandfather, Sir William Curtis gapskey. He built a hotel at West Maitland at Horseshoe Bend named White Horse Hotel. Arrived in Aust on HMS Rattlesnake after ships had landed convicts in Tasmania. Was at Bathurst then at Emu Plains. An aide-de-camp to Gov Bourke. He is son2. Went home on leave, returned to Aust and his child by Maria Gordon, then went to India where many of his regt died at Bombay of disease. He married a widow Ellen Straith in India and had five children with her. He later fought in Crimean War at Seige of Sebastapol.
Frank married (1) Gordon Maria Matilda-536548 daughter of 48th Regt of Foot Gordon Robert-536550 and Matron Parramatta Female Factory King Ann-536551. Maria was born in 1817 in At sea. She died in 1882 in Maitland. She was buried in Maitland.
