On page 197, Note 126, Price says Molleson was followed in that job as secretary by one John Lane. In 1785 Molleson gave this up auditing army accounts to become one of the Commissioners for Auditing the Public Accounts, fellow worker here being Sir John Dick and banker Francis Baring. But in 1793, Pitt caught Molleson borrowing money from people whose accounts he was supposed to be auditing. Molleson was forced to resign, when he died he left part of his estate to a "nearest male relation", Lord Sinclair (who is not yet identifed).
