Catherine married Colonel Of Black River Jma and of Auchenbrok Campbell John of Black River-39627 son of Rev, Glenaray Manse Torblaren Campbell Patrick-224 and Wife2 of Pennymore Campbell Jean McIver-8 in Jamaica. John was born in 1673 in Glassary,Torblaren,Argyllshire. He was christened on 3 Mar 1673 in Glassary,Black River,Argyllshire,crosslink. He died on 29 Jan 1740 in St Elizabeth,Jamaica. He was buried in 1740 in St Elizabeth.

He has good friends Rose Fuller and the Chief Justice Jma George Ellis. His Will per Pieter Dickson of 17-5-2008 is dated 1740, RGD Jamaica LOS 22/100. See notes of Marion Kilberry, sheet 5, this man served in Scots force intended to protect the Darien Settlement. Black River, Jamaica, was a rendezvous for Darien ships to and from Scotland. John settled there about 1700, family tradition is that he refused to return to Britain after the English and Dutch EICos destroyed the Darien Scheme. He was called "The Hon" as he was on the Council of Jamaica. And was also a Colonel for a Jamaica Regiment. He had two wives qv as is mentioned on his headstone. Had four children. The property name may be Sweet Hill. http update. See Greene, Carter diary, Vol. 1, p. 71. Any connection to Claiborne on Jamaica c. 1700? http says he has three wives his last wife is Ann Fox, all up he has 27 children.

Thomas married Fox Ann-3358 daughter of Fox Henry-128994 and West Anne-86837. Ann was born in 1684. She died in 1733 in King William Co Va.
