He spent five years in England, joined British Army in 1796, an ensign in a battallion of the Black Watch, to India. A friend in NSW of William Redfern the assistant surgeon of NSW Colonial Medical Staff. These two men married two sisters, Sarah and Elizabeth Wills. It is probable that Mary Bligh-Putland was related to Henry Colden Antill by links to Henry's Colden Antill's father's brother Lewis, who only had female issue. Henry's father's other brother Lt-Col had no issue as he was killed at Brandywine in the Revolution. One Susan Colden Antill was born in 1965. See also, K. F.
