Australia's earliest British colonists had food insecurity to wonder/worry about.)

Expect various national leaders to respond badly to requests to simply give away various territory. Expect internationally to find that nation-states differ markedly re duty-of-care provision(s). (10-4-2024) Women in Switzerland have a win? (2) Recently in Australia (1), a coalition of activists (led by an Australian-Indian girl now a university student) felt disappointed to find their Supreme Court action found that government had NO duty-of-care re Climate Change to children/underagers. Expect much more legal recourse to national Constitutions on such questions and expect to find much disagreement - More to come.
Now, Clathrates are a hangover from the last Ice Age, about 11,000BC or before, and in essence they are little packets of methane now found in the Canadian or Siberian tundra or on the Antarctic seabed, and if they melt they’ll release their methane and contribute largely to Climate Change - but so far they haven’t melted. Ignorance of them by the media means the entire area is under-researched. If they melt, they ought to make the new methane-spotting satellite (early 2024 and brand new technology) light up like a Christmas tree. But are Clathrates as a threat mentioned by the world’s media? Well, generally, no, except for rare and non-joined-up mentions. I’ve been watching this Climate Change debate closely, but never before have I seen a year like 2023, which is still pre-Clathrate, as it were. 2023 seems like the ”debate” is well over and it is time now for action, as the UN now says. I basically also feel that people enjoy taking risks, and that we have gone past all the tipping points prior to 1.5-2 degrees (Celsius) of extra warming. I also fear that our long period of peace is over.
Dismemberment of states: Expect maybe weird things to happen in the world of political representation. (This thought is based firstly on familiarity with British political history since Tudor times to the present. It is secondly based on India Votes 2024, a documentary by Indian journalist Hannah Jose, aired in Australia on ABC tv/ABC News on 7-4-2024 and before.) Apparently, Indian politicians vie for 543 seats, meaning that in India, therefore each politician might represent up to more than 1 million people, an absurdly large number of people and impossible to actually represent; politically; one reason that democracy in India risks falling victim to ideology. Given Indian history, (which embraces the entire history of British-India), it seems feasible that during climate Change (whatever period the Anthropocene rules, ok), what we today regard as India will be dismembered till political representation becomes more reasonable.
Now, this poor world has been visited by a really new political vision only with the American Revolution (1775-1783); at the unbearable cost of odd ideas such as American Manifest Destiny and American Exceptionalism, (either of which only invite American Hubris). But what the American Revolution revealed was what happens when a popular revolution meets the conservatism of some who are willing to become refugees (the Loyalists); also, what absurdity is possible when an entire people are prevented from doing their own banking; and what becomes possible when Aristocracy is abolished as a political institution. Ergo, present-day nations such as India; or China, Russia, the USA, Iran, (Persia is also too large for adequate political representation) and parts of Africa may be up for some changes, too.
Expect wierd things to happen to government disbursements and to citizens because the tax take has reduced.Watch also for changes to scenarios, such as: difficulties for suppy chains; Inflation/cost of living rises: and it's world-wide: at least in the "developed" world, the UK, USA, etc. Housing Crises (Australia has one nationally, but Johannesburg, South Africa has one, too). And waste less. Ed.
