6. Wentworth William Charles-5624 (D'Arcy , D'Arcy , Robert , Progenitor ) was born in 1790 in Norfolk Island. He died in 1872.

cozens2 Code-Aust. Liston p. 26 has it that WCW in 1840 has his son John by aid of agent Robert Brooks that John be taught farming, so John spent six months with one of London's best wool brokers. See name Jemima Eager. He forges links after 1819 and revelation of his parentage with Dr William Redfern and Edward Eager. Cf., Carol Liston, Sarah Wentworth, Mistress of Vaucluse House. It looks as though he has a yst dr married to name Dunbar (Dunbar of Sea park?) see Burke's P&B for Dunbar of Northfield, although all we know for sure is that for years 1856-1860 a ship named Sea Park (owner unspecified) goes to WA as many ships that Dunbar did own go there also. to WA with . He fathered at least one other child out of wedlock with Jamima Eagar, the estranged wife of Edward Eagar[1].

William married (1) McDuel Jemima-14073 daughter of McDuel John-175339 and Maloney Margaret-175340 in 1829 in Sydney. Jemima was born in Windsor.

Sophia married President Bank NSW, Australia-Pacific trade Towns Robert-5623 son of Towns Edward-5682 and Ryle Ann (Pyle?)-11249 in 1833. Robert was born on 10 Nov 1794 in Long Horsley,Northumberland. He was christened in 1810. He died on 11 Apr 1873 in Cranbrook.

Maxine Darnell thesis, p, 4, note 15, on Eric Roll's errors, in about April 1852 Towns imported Chinese workers using ships Spartan from Amoy under Capt Marshall and a second trip from Amoy in December 1852 on which was a mutiny; with in China, major coolie shipper was James Tait who had an emigrant ship, Emigrant, ends note p. 4. Maxine Darnell's thesis, p. 3, this man also sent Chinese coolies to Peru, and he is one of the major players in contracting Chinese to Aust. He and wife had two sons and three drs - In 1859 he assisted in England E. C. Merewether to negotiate a steam service UK-Aust. By early 1855 he had taken Sir Alexander Stuart qv in ADB as his partner. He is Pres Bank NSW 1853-1855 and 1866-1867. He wanted to import labourers from China, Germany, India; he claimed he had saved Moreton Bay by bringing in Chinese. He had early experience on a collier out of North Shields. He uses kanaka labour (illegal?).         Sabina married Smyth Arthur Gaslee-11967 son of Rev Smyth William St John-110461 and Mant Mary-77411 on 27 Feb 1876. Arthur was born in 1834 in Circa. He died on 13 May 1883 in Paris,France.

He possibly comes to Aust in service as accountant of Oriental Bank Corporation (eg at Calcutta), an English bank with its main Australian office in Melb. He is accountant at Sydney branch. As stockbroker he has to 1876 a partner named Peebles. He helps flotation of companies eg Guthrie and Lanarch's New Zealand Timber and Woodware Factories Ltd. of 1877, Sydney Meat Co Ltd of 1879 and Australian Stearine Candle and Soap Manufactory Ltd. of 1879 and Australian Frozen Meat Export Company Ltd. of 1880. 14. Wentworth Katherine-57548 (D'Arcy , D'Arcy , Robert , Progenitor ) died in 1898 in London.

Bassett is her husband two. Inheritor of what became Bassett-Darley estates of Sydney north coast beaches including Manly (part of The Corso) and Granville, Appin, Illawarra. By age 21 he had his own West Indies run.He arrived in Sydney in Feb 1840 as captain of Eweretta, 356 tons, owned by Ellice and Co. of Lonodn. By 1847 had made seven voyages London-Sydney carrying wool. From 1844 he made contract voyages for Robert Towns to Fiji and Samoa for sandalwood and later he and Towns entered eastern trade. He helped found Sydney Stock Exchange. Director Australian Gaslight Co. He is of Clapton, Darlinghurst Sydney. Liston on Sarah W. When young he had traded to West Indies. She had four children.
        Mary married Banker, Bank NSW Eager Geoffrey-14074 son of Merchant, Bank NSW, Lawyer Eager Edward-14072 and McDuel Jemima-14073. Geoffrey was born in 1818 in Sydney. He died in 1891.

Code-Aust. He had three surviving children. He is son2. His own entry in ADB online. He had been managing clerk for Thacker and Co. till 27 April 1854 he becomes an accountant for Bank NSW, later he is briefly colonial NSW treasurer and for 20 years was under-secretary for finance and trade in NSW.   36 M vi Bucknell William Wentworth-311983 died in 1891 in Drowned.

He is son1.

She deserted Bucknell and took her two sons with some Mormons to the US.
