3. Owner of Mayflower, Captain, anti-Spanish, Va Co Vassall John II-12115 (John I , Progenitor 2012 ) was born in 1544. He died on 13 Sep 1625 in Ratcliffe, Stepney.

In http notes he is builder and owner (possibly) of ship Mayflower (though there may have been several ships of this name!) which brings Pilgrims to shores of Cape Cod. He equipped for anti-Spanish Armada fights, ships of war, Samuel, and Little Toby. Per Chris Codrington scanning/JC Brandow, Genealogies of Barbados Families, article by G. Andrews Moriarty, "More Notes on New England and Barbados", this John Vassall is an alderman of London, who in 1588 fitted two ships for the Armada, he has two sons Wm and Samuel. Vassall family links to Whites of Barbados, and Royal of Charlestown, NE. See V. L. Oliver, The History of Antigua. He is member of the Va Co, Rowse, Elizabethans, p. 147. John married (1) wife2 Of ratcliffe, Stepney, London Russell Anna-12116 daughter of Russell Progenitor-57546 and RNotknown Miss-39837 in 1580. Anna was born in 1548/1556 in Ratcliffe Midx London. She died in 1593 in Midx. She was buried in Stepney.

Peter was christened in 1625 in active. gaps19 Ship Mayflower is in Medit and American trade. Andrews, Ships Money and Politics, p. 193, note 22, he is probably no the Captain of Mayflower taking Puritans to America. He is in Va and WI tobacco and planting. Brenner, pp. 151ff, he is brother-in-law of Samuel Vassall and trades also with George Menefie.

				Stephen married (1) wife1 Grubbe Mary-587842 daughter of Grubbe Progenitor-587856 and GNotknown Miss-587857. Mary was born in 1614/1615 in St Albans Herefordshire.
				Stephen married (2) Bromley Mary-587843. Mary died in 1632/1633.
