There were two William Makepeace Thackerays: the author (1811-1863) and his grandfather (1749-1813). Richmond Makepeace Thackeray (1781-1815) came between them. William married Richmond-Webb Amelia Richmond-145520 daughter of Colonel Richmond-Webb Richmond-145533 and RNotknown Miss-80275 in 1776. Amelia was born in 1757. She died in 1810.

She had seven children. thepeerage.com.

William and Amelia had the following children:
