Code-red. He is sub-treasurer, EICo. He is of Calcutta, Bengal and Chiselhurst, England. He is in India to 1814 or so if not later in Update on Macarthur lineage by Anon of 14-9-2006. He seems in Clay on Norman to be son of Richard Stone a brother-in-law of Sir Francis Baring. He is a partner of Stone and Martin, later Martin and Co. He has three drs. See Clay book, pp. 6-7. See Hidy, Barings, am trade, p. 15, Francis Baring is from 1764 banking with Richard Stone and Martin, with Richard Stone, his brother-in-law It is money from him via dowry of £10,000 to his dr, which bought out Macarthur Land owned earlier by W. S. Davidson, which interfered with the Macarthur Camden Park land, see Bickel on Eliz M, pp 175ff. see work of P. Pemberton. He has four or five children with Mary Roxburgh. She is buried with her father and her stepmother Mary Boswell in the Boswell of Auchinleck site at Grayfriars Churchyard in Edinburgh., She is dr1 in email from Gordon McDaniel of 4-2-2006.
