3. Tobacco merchant Perry Richard II-78379 (Richard , Progenitor ) was born in 1580. He was christened in Exeter. He died in 1659.

He is a cloth merchant in Cadiz selling English-made cloth. Later of St Pancras, Soper Lane,London. The family failed in the male line except for some going to Ireland. He it seems is from Glasgow or from Exeter, Devonshire. (?). His father is maybe named Micajah, born in New Haven, Connect.. This Richard is ranked as greatest tobacco merchant in England. V. Hope, pp. 110ff. He is with Va Company and also involved with Mass Bay Colony. He exported cloth to Va with parrtner James Carter a London shipmaster who went out to Va but died there. This James Carter had married Susanne Perry cousin of this Richard. The firm becomes Perry Lane and Co. See Jacob M. Price, Perry of London: A Family and a Firm on the Seaborne Frontier,1615-1753. Cambridge Mass, Harvard University Press, 1992. Which has sections on some problems on the firm's early days and on The Hutchinson Connectionm the firm fell in 1753. Richard married Hicks Dune-92065 daughter of Hicks Progenitor-462869 and HNotknown Miss-462870. Dune died in 1653/1654 in London.

They had the following children:

+	6	M	ii	Captain, Emigrant to Virginia, Va Councillor Perry William-221233 died on 6 Aug 1637.
	7	M	iii	Perry Peter-462949 was born in 1621. He died about 1654. Dealt in debts, tobacco, slaves. He became the Virginia rep of Perry Lane and Co. It is possible he left descendants in Charles City Va. From http://www.jessandra.de/Woodrooff.htm.
	8	F	iv	Perry Ruth-471184 was born in 1619.
	9	F	v	Perry Elizabeth-471185 was born in 1622. She died in 1624.
	10	F	vi	Perry Susannah-471186 was born in 1623.
				Susannah married Whittle William-471187 son of Whittle Progenitor-474505 and WNotknown Miss-474506.
	11	M	vii	Perry Nathaniel-471188 was born in 1624.
	12	M	viii	Perry Joseph-471189 was born in 1626.

4. Perry Philip-471180 (Richard , Progenitor ) was born about 1577.

Philip married PNotknown Miss-471181.
