3. Mercantile business Lt-Colonel Pepperell William-416120 (Andrew , Progenitor ) was born in 1648 in Devon England. He died in 1733/1734.

He emigrated at age 22 to begin with fishing and shipbuilding. He is an English settler in Maine of Welsh descent. See website by John Rees of Surrey England at www.sewellgenealogy.com/ He exported fish to Southern and European markets, dealt in lumber, fish, naval store, provisions. Cargoes sent to West Indies, Portugal, Medit and England. Some naval stores and provisions came from Carolinas. Had backers in Plymouth and London and via Boston merchants, profits went into real estate. Bought much land by Saco River. Shipping, mercantile interests. He had a counting house.

William married Bray Margery-416121 daughter of Bray John-416126 and Hooper Jean-416127. Margery was born in 1659 in Plymouth England. She died in 1741.
