John married Boulton-Crabb Emma Eugenia-32977 daughter of Captain EICo Boulton-Crabbe Henry Jnr-50296 and Raymond Juliana-50309. Emma was born in 1784. She died in 1856.

Burke's P&B for Pelly. His wikipedia page states he married Emma Boulton (1786–1856) of Leatherhead, Surrey in 1807. She was the daughter of Henry Boulton of Thorncroft, governor of the Corporation of Working Mines and Metals in Scotland. They had ten children.[6] HIs eight sons were: Sir John Henry (who succeeded as baronet), Raymond, Charles, Albert, Richard-Wilson, Edmund, Octavius, and Percy-Leonard. His two daughters were Juliana-Sally and Emma-Eugenia.

On is wife as an American see Edwin P. Hoyt, The House of Morgan. 1968., p. 58, indicating that in 1857-1858, Thomson Hankey authorized a £1 million loan from Bank of England to George Peabody's firm. Peabody and Thomson Hankey had become friends from 1834 when both were on a ship England/USA and Hankey on the ship had with him his American wife.
        Thomson married Alexander Apolline Agatha-23181 daughter of Lord Provost of Edinburgh Alexander William-283372 and wife2 de la Porte Agatha-519439 in 1830. Apolline was born in 1807. She died in 1888.
