19. Banker Morgan Junius Spencer-43128 (Joseph Junior , Joseph Junior , Joseph , Nathaniel , Miles , William , Progenitor ) was born in 1813 in ,Morgans. He died in 1890 in Monte Carlo Monaco.
His own wikipedia entry. He founds J. S. Morgan in England. He starts in drygoods. His own Encyc Brit item. Cassis, City Bankers, p. 251. He has a dr married to Walter H. Burns, 1838-1914). His trading firm changed in 1850 to Mather, Morgan and Co, then in 1851 or so to J. M. Beebe, Morgan and Co; he moved onto sea and into foreign trade. Hoyt on Morgans, pp. 39ff. He worked first for Alfred Welles of Boston, then a partner with Morris Ketchum's private bank on Wall St. Time with James M. Junius married Pierpont Juliet-43129 daughter of Rev Pierpont John-51288 and Cousin Lord Mary Sheldon-51289 on 2 May 1830. Juliet was born in 1816 in ,Morgans. She died in 1836.
His family traces back to Sir Hugh de Pierrepont, Lord of Castle Pierrepont in Picardy. Later Sir Robert Pierrpont was with Wm the Conqueror; given land in Sussex and Suffolk. Later, by 1628, James Pierpont a cousin of the Earl of Kingston was sending goods to the new colony of Massachusetts; and his son John married Miss Thankful Stowe and moved to Roxbury. His son James attended Harvard where he taught as a prof of Moral Philosophy and he also worked as a pastor.
