16. Pastoralist Macarthur James II-5744 (John , Alexander , John , Progenitor ) was born in 1798 in Elizabeth Farm,Parramatta,Sydney. He died in 1867 in NSW.

Code-Aust. Some descent given in Clay book on Norman, pp. 1-7. See p. 66 re Edward M's plans for emigration to NSW of 1845. W. E. Gladstone King, expat, pp. 66-67, is a personal friend of Macarthurs. His new wife is a relative of Labouchere, political under-sec, King here pp. 52-53. On wife Stone, note 12 to chapter 6, King cites Amory and Coles, solicitors, writing to GW Norman, 1 Sep 1838 and Norman Papers, U310, C144/20, Kent County Archives Office. In Hazel King, Expatriates, p. 47 when he comes to London, he wants to buy Walter Stevenson Davidson's property, which he does, works for the exclusivist's position, and a committee got up here in London is James M, Edward M, Walter Davidson, several AACo directors and others with Austn interests on King here p. 48. his wife Stone is p. 51 connectede with the Normans, Barings, Bonham-Carters (who are they?), Laboucheres and many other financial and political leaders of the time.
