Irving was a London link, and there is a Mount Desert Island involved, which goes to Thos Boylston, in whose papers in the Massachuseeets Historical Society the letters from Richard Lechmere to LS and F are. Jim Brennan, on 7-7-2010. on 28a-6-2010. This Lechmere in 1776 went to Halifax Nova Scotia, his estate was confiscated, he was banished, was living in Bristol by 1780.
