3. US merchant Gracie Archibald-303689 (William , Progenitor ) was born in 1755. He died in 1829.

Emigrated to America with a shipload of his own goods about 1778. Later from Petersburg VA exported tobacco to Britain, presumably during time of Am Rev. Archibald married (1) wife1 Rogers Esther-303690 daughter of Of Norwalk CT Rogers Samuel-457926 and RNotknown Miss-457927 in 1784.

Grand-dr of Governor CT Thomas Fitch. Confusingly, her husband's wikipeda page states she is dr of one Samuel. A notable Rogers firm was David Rogers and Son, sugar merchants for 40 years.
