Godschall I Johnson. Contractor, Code-red. Noted in Burke's LG for Eyre formerly of St John's Wood. In 1766 he is of Great Queen Street, Lincoln's Inn Fields. He and wife once sell "English Harbour Land" to Sir Charles Middleton Comptroller of Navy, Edward Hunt and John Hunslow commrs of navy and George Marsh Esq, when he is of Old South Sea House; Cite: Close Roll, 25 Geo III, Part 10, No. 5. He has an estate on Antigua. His will is dated 22 March, 1800. Godschall-Johnson, Fiche 8. He is of Putney Hall, Co Surrrey. Burke's LG for Thorntons. He is a business associate of John J. Angerstein, see letter from A. Twist of 25-2-1995. In govt loan finances, eg re 1793 British loan, also the 1794 loan, this man in 1785 contracted for the 1785 govt lottery, Boulney Court was/is near Henley-on-Thames, Oxon.
