One report is that he had Beaver about England in spring 1774 and died there, which seems incorrect, he died 1779 or so, and that Beaver was sold. He had a son Owen on the Essex which is a US whaler circa 1820 at Marquesa Islands re a white whale named Mocha Dick. US http on Coffins says the Coffins of Boston tended to Loyalism, as a group. He was captain of the American ship around Cape Horn, and also captain of the Beaver re ship of Boston Tea Party, his ship (Nantucket-owned?) had taken whale oil to London and returned with tea.
