Byrnes. My interest is in my Jamaican ancestory. The trail on that merchant net site goes cold at Samuel Barrett Hylton. His son, John Cambell Hylton came to Australia in the 1850's (don't know why - suspect it was the civil unrest associated with the abolition of slavery) with a family of Garriques who were also a significant name in Jamaica.
