3. Farmer Dangar William-35479 (Charles , Progenitor ) was born on 4 Jan 1772 in Tampen,Parish,St Noets,Cornwall.

Update on his parents from Penny Graham (UK) on 28-3-2007. He and Hooper have ten sons and one daughter. p. 4 of A. D. Fraser on Dangar, Gedye and Malloch. Mowle's Genealogy for Dangar, p. 132.

William married Hooper Judith-35480 daughter of Hooper John-35497 and HNotknown Miss-35498.

William and Judith had the following children:

  6 M i Merchant NSW Dangar Richard Carey-9304 was born in 1817. He was christened in 1842. He died on 14 Aug 1867 in Effingham House,Copthorne,Sussex.

Code-Aust. Where does Carey come from in his name? He founded his firm in 1838 in Muswellbrook NSW. He arrives by ship Florentia, Capt Deloitte, departing London June 25, 1836 and arriving 26 Nov, 1836 at Sydney. A Mr Frederick Street is also a passenger. Dangars were Huguenots. The firm is Sydney agent for the Cutty Sark, which was owned by John Willis of London, qv. See A. D. Fraser, This Century of Ours: Being an account of the origin and history during one hundred years of the House of Dangar, Gedye and Malloch Ltd, of Sydney. Sydney. [Company History]. 1938. [I am grateful to Trin Truscett for loaning me her copy of this title]. See A. D. Fraser on Dangar, Gedye and Malloch, etc per Trin. pp. 59ff of Fraser, the firm's London address by 1851 becomes 30 Great St Helens, which it had for 50 years. The first Sydney firm wth Rundle was at 1 Clarence St, Sydney. R. C. Dangar's executor was W. Golding, whom he had known since 1852 or longer. Fraser, p. 75, he decided to return to London permanently, where he became a member of the London board of the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney Ltd., died at Effingham House, Copthorne, Sussex.
        Richard married Treweek Anne-35482 daughter of Treweek Progenitor-65675 and TNotkknown Miss-126353. Anne died in Jun 1867.
