2. Signet writer of Kilmarnock Campbell John-23377 (Progenitor ) died on 12 Nov 1797 in Greenock,Scotland.
He is writer to the Signetand Town Clerk of Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, last laird of Ashfield. Had ten surviving children. See Mowle's genealogy on colonial NSW.
John married Paterson Agnes-23378 daughter of Town Clerk Kilmarnock Paterson Robert-73532 and PNotknown Miss-73533 in Scotland,probably.
Mowle's Genealogy, p. 79. She is fifth daughter of her father.
John and Agnes had the following children:
