5. Biddle William III-440797 (William II , William , Progenitor ) was born in 1697/1698. He died in 1756.

He is "unfortunate" in business, partly due to gambling. He is progenitor of the Philadelphia Biddles. http on Biddle family history.

William married (1) wife2 Scull Mary-440798 daughter of Philadelphia surveyor-general Scull Nicholas-440927 and SNotkown Miss-440928 in 1730. Mary was born in 1709. She died in 1789.

She had ten children, eight surviving infancy.

William and Mary had the following children:

+	9	M	i	Lawyer Judge Biddle James-440799 was born in 1731. He died in 1797.
+	10	M	ii	Captain Biddle Charles-178599 was born in 1745. He died in 1821.
+	11	F	iii	Biddle Lydia-451829 was born in 1734. She died in 1767.
+	12	M	iv	Captain Lawyer Biddle Edward-469628 was born in 1736. He died in 1779.

William married (2) wife1 Newbold Anne-451778 daughter of Newbold Progenitor-440803 and Notknown Miss-441546. Anne was born in 1719/1720. She died in 1729.

He is son6. He has a shipping and importing business.

John married Owen Sarah-440911 daughter of Owen Progenitor-440929 and ONotknown Miss-440930. Sarah died in 1789.

They had the following children:
